This song by Dutch singer Frank Boeijen was recorded at the Benelux Gala on 20 February 1991. The Benelux gala is one of the three evenings of the Diamonds Awards Festival 1990, organized by the Dutch Edison Foundation, the Belgian BAP (Belgian Artistic Promotion) and IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry). Franciscus Johannes Maria (Frank) Boeijen (Nijmegen, 27 november 1957) is een Nederlands zanger, dichter, componist en muzikant. In de jaren tachtig was hij populair met de Frank Boeijen Groep, een band uit de Nederlandstalige golf die de Nederpop uit die tijd doormaakte. Het werk van Boeijen kenmerkt zich door poëtische, vaak melancholieke teksten en melodieuze muziek in een stijl tussen pop en chanson. De Frank Boeijen Groep bestaat behalve uit Frank Boeijen, leadzang en gitaar. Ook uit: Wil Theunissen (gitarist), Henk Wanders (drum) en Nels Busch (bassist). In 1984 verlaat Wil Theunissen de band en neemt Maarten Peters zijn plek in om vervolgens in 1986 weer afscheid te nemen. Hij wordt vervangen door Ger Hoeijmakers. In 1991 gaat Frank Boeijen solo verder. De hit met de hoogste notering in de Top 40 is “Zwart Wit” (4e plek). Enkele andere bekende hits zijn “Kronenburg Park”, “De Verzoening” en “Linda”. Wil Theunissen (guitarist), Henk Wanders (drum) and Nels Busch (bassist). In 1984 Wil Theunissen leaves the band and Maarten Peters takes his place and then says goodbye in 1986. He was replaced by Ger Hoeijmakers. In 1991 Frank Boeijen continues solo. The hit with the highest listing in the Top 40 is "Zwart Wit" (4th place). Celebrating the 50th anniversary of David Bowie's legendary Starman performance on Top of the Pops. The performance changed the course of music forever. Recorded a day earlier at the BBC Television Centre in White City, the performance is undoubtedly one of the most essential pieces of music television ever broadcast. It has influenced generations of musicians, artists and writers who saw it at the time and countless others who have since seen it over the decades, from bootleg VHS copies to YouTube clips. The performance launched Bowie to stardom. Thursday 6th July, 1972, is said to be 'the day that invented the 80’s’ as so many musicians who went on to be household names saw the performance and it changed their lives.
