Over time, wolves changed both physically and psychologically to become the friendly pets we know today.

Many of the oldest dog breeds in the world share similar physical characteristics, as well as personality traits. Ancient dog breeds usually have strong bodies with well-developed muscles. Some of them have a wolf-like appearance and their coats are often brown, red, tan, or white color.
