Kari Diesen got a very unknown Jarreau to his first visit to Oslo at Club 7 february 1977, sent in NRK show immediately after, and followed up with two concerts in Chateauneuf, november 1977. The year after he became bestseller also in the United States and made his first world tour. February 1981, he played in a sold out concert in Oslo that did not fit with Jarreau's electric music.14 year old Silje Nergaard which is a big fan, gave him a rose on stage. February 1987 he performed his recently published "L is for lover" in front of three thousand in Skedsmohallen, with David Sanborn and Septett as opening band. The year after, march 1988, he sang two songs from his recent "Heart's Horizon" in Norwegian television. He composed the title music to Bully and Blonde who had NRK premiere march 1989 and held a concert the same week, in Skedsmohallen march 1989 starring Abraham Laboriel on bass.
